Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM EST (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST)
Description
This is a college-level course designed for high school students that introduces the fundamental concepts of Calculus. It is equivalent to a first-semester college calculus course and prepares students to take the AP Calculus during the upcoming school year.
Topics covered (AP exam weighting):
- Limits and Continuity (10-12%)
- Differentiation: Definition and Fundamental properties (10-12%)
- Differentiation: Composite, Implicit and Inverse Operations (9-13%)
- Contextual Applications of Differentiation (10-15%)
Target audience:
This 30-hour course is ideal for students who
- Have completed Precalculus Academic level during 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 school year & scored B+ or higher
- Have completed Precalculus Honors / AP level during 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 school year
- Plan to take AP Calculus AB in the upcoming school year
- Plan to take AP Calculus BC in the upcoming school year
- Plan to pursue STEM Majors in college
- Are looking to gain confidence in Calculus concepts before school year begins
- Hope to achieve 4 or 5 in the AP Exam
